Greenated Signs MoU with North Malabar NGO.

Greenated Clima Tech has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a pioneering non-governmental organisation with a strong grassroots presence in North Kerala, marking a significant step in the implementation of the Greenated Small Farmers Agroforestry Project in India.

Under the partnership, the organisation will serve as the ground implementation partner for onboarding farmers and landowners across Kannur and Kasaragod districts, supporting the expansion of agroforestry-based climate initiatives in the region.

Established in 1966, the NGO has a long history of working with farming communities and currently supports more than 30,000 farmers and their families through an extensive network of community-based institutions and grassroots collectives. Its activities span over 40,000 hectares of agricultural land, with a strong focus on sustainable livelihoods, environmental stewardship, and community development.

The collaboration is expected to accelerate the adoption of agroforestry practices among smallholder farmers while creating opportunities for the generation of verified carbon credits. The initiative is designed to strengthen farm incomes, improve ecosystem resilience, and deliver measurable climate benefits through sustainable land-use practices.

By combining climate technology, local expertise, and community engagement, the partnership aims to create a scalable model for climate-positive rural development. The MoU reflects a shared commitment to advancing sustainable agriculture, empowering farming communities, and contributing to long-term environmental and socio-economic impact in the region.
