Role Summary
Administer and support Oracle Hyperion Planning used as a management reporting cube, for allocations, and for Smart View–based reporting. This role focuses on cube administration, calculation/allocations, metadata and data management, integrations, security, and end-user support—without ownership of planning/budgeting cycles.
Key Responsibilities
- Application Administration: Manage environments, users/roles/security, LCM exports/imports, and system jobs. Maintain forms and artifacts needed for allocations and reporting use cases.
- Management Cube & Metadata: Maintain dimensions, hierarchies, aliases, and attributes; design and govern metadata changes to support management reporting and allocation drivers.
- Allocations & Calculations: Build, maintain, and optimize allocation logic and business rules (Calc Manager/Groovy as applicable). Ensure transparency, traceability, and performance of allocation runs.
- Data Loads & Reconciliation: Manage data loads and mappings via Data Management/Data Integration (or equivalent). Reconcile to GL/source systems and validate data quality for the management cube.
- Smart View Reporting Enablement: Configure connections, forms/queries, and member selections; create and maintain Smart View templates; support power users on ad hoc analysis and report refresh issues.
- Integrations & Automation: Operate integrations to and from ERP/GL and data platforms; schedule and monitor jobs; leverage EPM Automate/REST APIs for automation; troubleshoot and remediate failures.
- Release & Change Management: Coordinate patches, regression testing, and migrations across environments; maintain documentation, run books, and operational checklists.
- Stakeholder Support: Partner with FP&A/Controllership and Reporting teams to gather requirements, prioritize enhancements, and meet close/reporting timelines. Provide L2/L3 support and root-cause analysis.
- Governance & Controls: Uphold naming conventions, security/access controls, and audit/compliance requirements; contribute to Business Applications CoE standards.

- 3+ years administering Oracle Hyperion Planning (on‑prem or EPM Cloud Planning), focused on management reporting cubes and allocations (not budgeting/forecasting).

- Competence in security/roles, LCM migrations, and environment management; solid troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration with Finance and Reporting stakeholders.
