 Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role

 1. Responsible for the entire IT Asset Management (ITAM) and Configuration Management (CMDB) lifecycle within the Atlassian platform, primarily using the “Assets” feature in Jira Service Management (JSM).

 2. Platform Configuration & Administration: Design, configure, and maintain the Assets feature within Jira Service Management, including schemas, object types, custom fields, and permissions.

3. Data Management & Integrations: Utilize tools like Assets Data Manager to integrate, reconcile, and analyze data from various sources (e.g., flat files, databases, APIs) to ensure a single, accurate source of truth (CMDB).

4. Automation: Implement automation rules using Jira and Assets Query Language (AQL/JQL) to automate input, update records, and trigger actions based on asset status or events.
